Here is another bowl the timber is Danta left from a hotel build we did many years ago used some very nice timbers from Africa for the job this was a small piece I had left 265x50mm turns very well. So what do you think?

Are you sure thats danta ? I havent come across any danta with that red hue- mostly a grey-brown and often offered as a substitute for brush box

Looks like bloodwood. Another African timber.

Looks sensational, either way.

Nice, love this timber, installed a kitchen in Balwyn or Camberwell from this stuff years ago with my brother.

Would love to mill a log but can't see that happening unless I went to Africa to do it :doh:

Hi guy's,
Certainly Danta we had 12 cubic m of it to work with and it was all this dark chocolate in colour. Thanks Chuck and Acco didn't mill any log's but worked a lot of it on spindle moulder and lathe.
