Hi,
I did a fair bit of turning 30 years or so ago and now and now I am getting back into it and I have noticed that there has been a lot of changes.
I am curious about turning green timber, and from my research, overseas turners rough turn and then drop the bowl etc in PEG or polyethylene glycol.
Has anybody got any experience in turning gren timber? I am not really happy with the idea of working with PEG, so is there any substitutes out there?
It seems from the MSDS that its not so toxic, but I kinda like to work with all chemicals at a arms distance or greater if possible.
