on line timber samples

Does any one here know of a place on the net where one might find pictoral samples of various timber?

I have stumbled over some hard wood scraps which appear to be a eucalypt of some type.

I have been told that the CSIRO once put out a booklet which showed wood samples of timber found in victoria ( or maybe southern australia)

any help????
