I've run out of dovetail saws so it's time to make up another batch. I'm tentatively planning to do six but we'll see. Here's the first that I made up this afternoon. It is #35. Handle is Jatoba, the back is 0.085" folded brass and the blade is 0.015" and it will be 16 ppi with two stainless bushings.

And here's the second saw of this series. While looking through my supplies I happened across some backs that I had engraved a while back. This saw is serial numbered 25, but it's the 36th saw I've built. I'll likely re-number this saw to be in sequence, or not.

Vital statisitics: 0.015" saw plate toothed 15 ppi, two stainless bushings, Peruvian walnut infused with resin, 0.085" folded brass back. All of these saws will be cryotreated later.

Here are No.'s 37 and 38. I had three handle blank failures before I got these two made. 37, top with the Palo santo handle, has a 0.020" plate as do No.'s 35 and 36 above. No. 38 has a 0.015" plate and the resin infused Peruvian walnut handle.

All done but for engraving and some polishing.

#36-25 at the first step of finishing. I've been tapering the grip region of the handles, works better for me and is much more comfortable than the standard method.

I've been very busy with a number of other efforts but I got in a few hours on these today. I've pretty much completed numbers 25 and 34. The others have gone on to new owners.

I'm on the fence about the high-gloss, part of me likes it but another side thinks it too flashy. Difficult to maintain as any tarnish stands out.
