I have 3 large lengths of African Walnut:
1.85m x 160 x 75
1.89m x 155 x 75
1.33m x 155 x 55

and 2 lengths of Coachwood
2.72m x 190 x 80
1.31m x 205 x 45

All pieces are at least 30 years old, probably closer to 40.

I pulled them off the racks as I am in need of dry timber for a turning commission but couldn't bring myself to cut into such large pieces. Ideally the walnut should be veneered but I don't have the equipment.

Grateful any advice on the value of the timber as I've decided to sell them so I can buy the needed turning timber. Obviously the normal timber outlets have little idea on value as they are timbers that very very rarely turn up.

Many thanks

Phil, try giving Anagote Timbers (http://anagote.com/) at Marrickville or Trend Timbers (http://www.trendtimbers.com.au/) at Mulgrave a call. They both list Coachwood on there sites and Trend may have an idea on the African Walnut (Coula edulis).
