I am a very new woodworker who has obtained some logs of varying diameters from the following timbers - Hakea, Pear, casurina, Tristania and need some advice on how to dry so as I can work at a later date

Firstly get it out of the log ASAP or you will have nothing to dry but split up firewood.

There are a number of people in Victoria with bandsaw mills and Lucas mills etc that can slab the timber for you or cut it into useable wood.

Try Loggerheads in Bendigo for starters. Then check out the yellow pages. Also do a search of the timber forum using drying as a search word, you should find a number of answeres to your question.

Hope this is of some help.
