This pendant is made from the cast described here: http://www.woodworkforums.com/showthread.php?t=197198
This one is made from 2 thin discs, rather than just one, that are glue together and encapsulate the stainless steel 40mm ring. Apart from having to make 2 sides, getting the back perfectly flat and the right size to ensure they meet and join perfectly is delicate, any error shows when you sand the recess. Finish is CA
Photos are front, back and from the side. Pretty happy with it though, now to make the rest.
