Took these pics a few days ago
The flowers have a superb aroma
It is a native Orchid from North Qld and is commonly known as 'She-Oak' Orchid (Dendrobium Ruppianum)
Not only an epiphyte but a lithophyte as well
Another one of our many beautiful native Dendrobiums...MM:2tsup:

It certainly puts on a show, you have some wonderful plants up there MaplemanVery lucky to be able to grow orchids without a shade house too :) and have them flower.
As i said this orchid is endemic to North Queensland
Its flowers though are almost identical in color and form,to another Dendrobium (speciosum)which is endemic to Southern Queensland...MM:2tsup:

Are the Dendrobium species a parasitic group of plants or did you plant it next to the fig?
