The dream is one step closer!! I acquired a small line shaft today:U

Now the drills have there pulleys at 90 deg to what the line shaft runs so I'm not sure how to make that work.

I understand you cast twist the belts but not the limitations of it. Do you line the drills drive & idle pulley so the shaft is directly between them? How long would a 1" belt have to be to twist 90deg?

Thanks Phil that gives me 80% of what I needed to know.

Which side of Pulley B should the idle pulley sit? This would put the machine also on the opposite side.

Hi Dale
If the loose pulley is on the drill, then you only need the one fixed pulley on the lineshaft.
As you move the belt over to the loose pulley on the drill it rides across the drive pulley on the line shafting and should be wide enough for the move.
It looks like a repair or replace for the traversing arms on the drill.

Traversing arms is that the correct terminology for the belt shifter?
Yes the tips have been broken off it, there is a small chip out of the cine pulley, but otherwise it seems complete for a change.

Line shaft hangers.
Are these ment to bolt straight to the roof beams or is there a bracket missing?

I'd love to get some more hangers to put in another shaft or jack shaft. Anyone know of any available?

Hi dale
The walk bracket is missing.
I'll ask at work as at the moment we have a plethora.
My list is beginning to add up. You may have to come and visit lol.
