It there benefit in resin impregnating hardwoods e.g. West Indian Satinwood, Turkish Boxwood etc. to make them even more durable/stable? Anyone tested before? I've seen softer woods become essentially rock hard after treatment quite impressive...

I assume you are talking about rein stabilisation, and if so, yes. Stabilisation helps timber movements and timbers that can crack over time. I have even stabilised ebony. Knife scales are often requested stabilised. The only problem is that for stabilisation you need to get the timber down to 0% moisture content first and often that can result in cracking.

Thanks. Yeah that's what I mean, some folk call it impregnation. Going to give it a try.
