View Full Version : Simple - but happy with this one

Hi all,

Finished this today - a pretty simple bowl but I really like it, so thought I'd share.

This is a piece each of tas blackwood and NG rosewood, cut with a curve down the middle on the bandsaw, and then the centre of each piece swapped. The piece with rosewood outers and blackwood centre was resawed, and half of it glued up and used for the rim of this (the other half got turned into a simple cheese board). Finished with EEE and shellawax glow.

Might have to try a bigger version of this some time, this one's only about 180 mm diameter. Next time I think I'll keep the bandsaw cuts in the upper and lower blocks aligned (they're perpendicular to each other in this one).

Cheers,

Danny

I like what you made. The use of off cuts is a big advantage.
