 I think there is a photo of Mike Mahoney & Glen Lucas both turning bowls at the same time on this - one inboard & one out board. May save big $$$ in a club workshop - but may pay to hog the control box

Over kill for pen turning ain't ithttp://d1r5wj36adg1sk.cloudfront.net/images/smilies/happy/laughbounce2.gifhttp://d1r5wj36adg1sk.cloudfront.net/images/smilies/happy/laughbounce2.gifhttp://d1r5wj36adg1sk.cloudfront.net/images/smilies/happy/laughbounce2.gif.

A good excuse to buy a bigger shed as I would have problems fitting it into there at the moment.

This set up could be good for left handed turners.

I think the lathe is something the store put together for publicity.

The only practical use I can see is for making a lot of bowls or doing deep hollowing, where one could work straight in without the long bed getting in the way.

Working outboard doesn't get you any more swing.

Simple! It's obviously for the multi-tasking ambidexterous turner. Turning 2 bowls (or spindles) at once, one for each hand.

And now of course I must have one.
