Hi , I have a Planer thicknesser, SCM L'invincible 1750 ( its a very robust heavy, professional Italian machine, approx 1980, beautifully made), that was used by a home joinery workshop. This machine has certainly not been worked hard and been well looked after. I was wondering if anyone would have an idea of what this machine would be worth to sell or the best place to advertise it ? cheers

It seems hard to price big 3 phase machines like that (assuming it's 3 phase) due to the power requirements and weight often putting people off. I'm potentially interested in it, but it depends on how much and how soon.

Yes, it'd be 3 phase. The SCM L'Invincible range are quite possibly the best machines you can buy.
There's a 2040 combo (I'm guessing just a bigger/newer model) for $5500 here http://www.machines4u.com.au/view/advert/SCM-planer-thicknesser/214333/ if that helps.
I don't think $4-4.5k would be unreasonable for a smaller model given how good the L'Invincebles are

That's sexy. If only there weren't bills to pay :(

Did you end up deciding on a price?

I moved on a similar condition 400 wide one of these about 1978 vintage with an unused morticing table.
Got just under 3k for it after a month on the tree.
These are ok but not a patch on seperate function Wadkin,Barker etc machines.
