I found this cedar vase, roughed out ,sitting in the dust on the shelf from about five years ago and thought it was time I finished it off .
Don't you just hate it when this happens ?

Two natural egg cups for emu eggs? :-)
Sorry Ted, sick joke. Yes it is an occasion for some colourful language.

We all lose our touch this time of the year.
Get back up the saddle, plenty of cedar around
I've had 5 year old bottles of wine that should have been left alone as well

Ted,
I see a small bowl on the lathe and a footed short vase on the bed.

Thanks for the commiserations
I have a neighbour who takes all my offcuts and failures for firewood and is fascinated with some of the odd shapes she ends up with so some good comes out of it .

Oh bother or words to that effect(you know what I mean)
Would have been a nice vase stick it on the wood pile to keep you warm in the colder months

Yes I agree it is not the best feeling to loose a bowl. Are you going to try and save these for something else?

That could be true - only 92 posts, so probably hasn't started turning yet :roflmao:
