You may find one in the UK would be a very costly project, if you just want a lathe there would be plenty of alternative locally

You can get them from BC Canada. If I remember correctly from 2 years ago they start at about C$7,000. Better call for current prices. VB36 Bowl Master Lathe | Bow River Specialty Woods (http://www.bowriverwoods.com/machinery/vb36-bowl-master-lathe/)

Hi Box, sounds a bit like you are clutching at straws.
What sort of a lathe are you after?
Seems like something pretty solid.
A Wadkin patternmakers lathe is a pretty good number and prolly easier to track down in Australia than the 2 you mentioned.
Or if you are a gun in the metal fabrication side of things(or know someone who is) maybe make what you are after. You know, think outside the round.

I think you have set your self quite a challenge there. Whilst they are around, I have seen very few up for sale. Good luck!

Some folks consider the short bed UG the be all and end all lathe for bowls. Richard Raffan had one and sold it. I find that interesting as he had made over 30,000 bowls about that time.

You might try advertising for the model Union Graduate you are looking for. Someone in AU might be ready to sell.

This shows the various models:
