Hi all,

I'm building a 45' x 20' houseboat and I've seen a sample of a nice marine-looking rubber-backed laminated timber veneer that comes in 8' x 4' panels. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on this or something similar. I've seen it used on floors but I want to use it for eave linings. Thx.

(The sample I saw was made of narrow strips of approx 20mm thick dark timber separated by approx 5mm thick light timber, very James Bond-ish)

Hi,
What timber veneer are you looking to use in your house boat? I know where you can get 8' x 4' sheets of marine plywood veneered that would be excellent for your project! What is your location?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure what the name of the veneer is but it's similar to the product used in Riviera boats. My location is South Melbourne. The boat's being built on the Mornington Peninsula. Very interested to know your suggested source. Thanks again.
