Well they are finally here the all new Tormek (http://www.cwsonline.com.au/shop/category/-tormek-sharpening-grinders-attachments) SVD-186 Gouge Jig (http://www.cwsonline.com.au/shop/item/tormek-gouge-turning-jig-svd-185).

This replaces the SVD-185 jig (http://www.cwsonline.com.au/shop/item/tormek-gouge-turning-jig-svd-185) which worked very well but as with all things Tormek (http://www.cwsonline.com.au/shop/category/-tormek-sharpening-grinders-attachments) they are always looking at improving.

The SVD-186 (http://www.cwsonline.com.au/shop/item/tormek-gouge-turning-jig-svd-185) has a larger opening so can accomodate a gouge up to 32mm and the new clamp piece can hold the smallest of tools.

Probably the best upgrade is the dedicated indents on the angle setting, now if you want the No 2 setting you get a definite indent the same with all other settings.

Tormek (http://www.cwsonline.com.au/shop/category/-tormek-sharpening-grinders-attachments) have made a good jig better.

Have a look here. (http://www.cwsonline.com.au/shop/item/tormek-gouge-turning-jig-svd-185)

That looks nice. Hope someone is goi g to jave one at Fletty's sharoening workshop in a couple of weeks

Is it a postive lock at 0, 2, 4 ,6 or just marked numbers as a guide? Tried zooming in on your site but could not make it out.

Dave it has positive indents so no guessing where you are or if you have the correct position.

Just another way of making sure you get that Tormek repeatability
