Nice, Phil.

Which species is that? I think of Forest Oak as A. torulosa, but some people in Queensland simply call it She Oak.

Cheers,
Luke

Yes Luke, A. torulosa. also known locally as Bakers Oak as it's the prefered fuel for wood fired ovens !! seeds are favorite food of Black Cockys.

Very nice :2tsup:
Its also called Rose Sheoak I have a fair bit of it although not so colourful as yours. It spalts really well if you leave in the long grass. But when dry its very hard especially the heart timber.
