All these years looking for a necklace chain in 3/16 because its the smallest mortis .

I got a good collection of hollow chisel for the Stenner(tag camo) in both english pattern and japanese. there both good though i do like the english pattern for the larger spikes.

the one by my thumb is 1/4" and the 5th is a 7/16 T white. I use the chisel for small work.

how the japs can even make this:no: this is the smallest chisel you can get(3mm less than 1/8") and that's it beside the 1/4"

just so you get a sense of how small it is that's an 18 gauge brad nail.

can't get them in NA have to get them straight from japan. Please don't ask what i paid as it was a lot:cool:.

Jack, I came by some mortise gear months ago, a heap of chains some bars, no sprockets.
Got in touch with wilikson woodworking equipment in the UK and purchased their remaining stock of .62" pitch sprockets.
I have some .54" chain but without a bar and sprocket all they are good for is steam punk jewelry or hang up on the wall.
I think Bobby at woodworkers tool works has sprockets but at $95 US each plus postage I'm not jumping out of my skin to grab a few.
I don't know where to get .54" pitch sprockets from, any leads ??

I've only got one .54 sprocket with two bars and two chains . Believe it was Reynolds . I ended up buying the whole thing bar sprocket and chain for 95 greater British pounds . Not a fantastic deal but it did then make another set that I didn't have the sprocket work . There was a stretch where loads of Reynolds and Robinson stock came up but they weren't given it away but they weren't charging what Bobby was . And to be quite honest I'm a little sceptical of American manufacturing . perhaps that's an unfounded bias . I'll keep my eyes out and I remember that hall of chains you got.

That's a very cool thing Jack, i thought the quarter inch hollow chisel was delicate enough, especially in my hands. I don't quite understand the .54 pitch chain, that seems a very curious number to choose to me, it doesn't match up with metric nicely and i make it 27/50 as a fraction, where did that chain size come from? If sourcing sprockets is a problem would getting them made not be viable? Sprockets are a fairly simple thing to machine.
