This one was a challenge as the heart timber is very hard whilst the sap is just the opposite. Its not turned alot due to the fact it splits very badly, collects bugs, worms and all manner creepy crawly timber munchers. But it spalts really well and quickly and the heart timber has amazing colour

Stands about 30cm b 14cm dia . Its based on glacial ice pinnacles.378037

Nice Hughie, very nice. When I first saw it, I could see the crags on the limestone outcrops in Chillaoe. I agree, it is a bugger of a timber for splitting.
