Hi all. I was hoping someone could help me with a few questions in regards to an old wood copy lathe i bought from my neighbour It is a RYOBI WHTL 10030. It appears not to be complete. I have no face plate and also there is no manual for it and that makes it difficult to get started with. It has a sanding disc on the other side of the headstock, which i have found very handy. If anybody can help with a copy of a manual and any parts that would be great. Just love the forum.

Hi Orca, any chance of some photos? A lot of lathes are rebranded clones, as I have never heard of this one.

900mm 6 Speed Wood turning lathe Model WTL-900 in used condition i have replaced the pulley system as parts are quite readily available from Hare and Forbes in Dandenong with the Hafco WL-18 lathe as they are the same lathe..Also comes with Gouges and instruction manual

Orca,

I put RYOBI copy lathe model WHTL 10030 in to Google US and Google AU and get nothing.

I did the same here and got nothing. Search Results - RYOBI Tools (http://www.ryobi.com.au/support/manuals/results) You could go to the page and try the "contact us" to see if anything turns up.

Bunnings comes up when searching for Ryobi, maybe they can help.

A photo or photos would help. Show overall, close up of head stock and tail stock. Very often the shapes of the parts will give a clue of the factory and other brand names for the same lathe.

This is what comes up when I put Old Ryobi Copy Lathe into Google AU Images:

https://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1440&bih=780&q=old+ryobi+copy+lathe&oq=old+ryobi+copy+lathe&gs_l=img.12...5238.20117.0.23477.22.7.1.14.15.0.158.943.0j7.7.0....0...1ac.1.64.img..0.12.1023...0j0i24.h7w86H4n9To#imgrc=aQqK0jLsBdfV4M%3A

None are very old and some are familiar as other brands, including the cheap square tube bed abomination sold under a bunch of different names.

Hi Crocy, thanks for your reply. I have tried Ryobi and they couldn't shed any light on it. I will take some pics and post them. Also i can measure the size and thread of the headstock (fine thread). Maybe its a personal import, although it's 240V. Anyway, i can send you all more info. Thanks heaps. Orca
