How do they make carvings so cheap

I was doing some searching for prices of wood carvings on ebay,To seeing if it would be feasable to sell some of my work. But the prices they are getting is so low how do they make a profit out of there carvings? "Gezz! I couldn't buy the timber for what there selling there carvings for?" :eek:

Yep I hear what your saying mate! Wiether you work for Holden,Hills,Victor or even a lowly carver, There is a chinese person waiting for your job :P Still! Its not as annoying as a indian call center!
