On one of my recent raids on Carba-tec(Sydney) I got the pocket knife (Cat OR-222, Pg 193). Here is the result. Handles out of scrap Tassie Oak, shaped via various means - Dremel,Carving Knifes and Rifflers. Sanded to P1000, sprayed with Poly and rubbed with some Ubeaut Traditional Wax. A fun arvo's playing around. :)

Ooo That that looks so cool pat! So do Carba-tec sell the blades?

Metabo, Carbatec sells the knife sans wooden grips. it's up to you to put them on, that's the fun part. Choose whatever wood you like, for $7.00, it does not matter. So cheap knife + offcuts = fun arvo's playing and the admiration of MBGitW and workmates. :D

Hi Pat,
I have the knife and have tried twice to fit the handles with a two pack glue
,but after a time the timber falls off.
Any advice please.
Regards Terry

Schaf, I just applied normal wood glue and compressed the handles to the body in my vice overnight. If and when they fall off, I'll try super glue, with the same compression. It's all part of the fun! :)
