We have managed to get away for a few days in the van to Peterborough on the Great Ocean Road.
Below are a few photos taken today between Port Campbell and Peterborough after we got set up.
The seas are quite rough at the moment, and as my wife said, it's no wonder they call it the shipwreck coast.

London Bridge - unfortunately it lost the connecting arch back in 1990 so not quite the same now.

I believe there are only 8 left but I will confirm that tomorrow as we intend to head along that way.
There wasn't a lot of variety today as we headed west along the coast and the spectacular coastline disappears after about 10 klm's and you head a bit inland through farming country. It looks good at the moment as the grass is green but still short, bit like a well kept lawn.
Taking photos along the coastline was difficult this morning as a lot of sea mist was around early. Went back late this afternoon but it was worse, so we have got what we got.
There are numerous secluded and mostly seaweed free little beaches all along the coast which you can get down to using steps and boardwalks which have been constructed.

Well this is our last day here. We have traveled to the east as far as Lavers Hill and went to Melba Gully. This is probably the most westerly end of the true Otways where you get to see large Tree Ferns and thickly congested trees. Unfortunately I didn't go equipped very well for the dark conditions for photography so I didn't take too many photos in there.

387054 387055 387056

On our way to Melba Gully we went to Loch Ard Gorge. There was so much to photograph here and hard to show the true enormity of the cliffs. There was also some very interesting formations happening on the underside of overhanging rocks. It was hard to pick out a suitable number of photos to put here without boring everyone.

387045 387046 387047 387048 387049 387050 387051 387052 387053

After Loch Ard Gorge we went to the 12 Apostles. I tried to count them for Crowie but it was very subjective on what to count as there were some that have collapsed but still have a base showing. We think there is 8.

387039 387040 387041 387042

Our travels took us through some nice undulating farming land which looks very nice as you look across.

This is the entrance to the river which the caravan park is situated on.

And finally my entry in the bird competition. I bet Trevor's jealous (not).

Hi Dallas,
I'm glad your all enjoying the Coastline that I know quite well.
In the 1st. Photo of the second lot, & to the right you may have seen a Ledge halfway down the Cliff.
Well I fished off it for many years, with Dot sitting up the top, trying to get out of the wind & Cliff Dust.
Caught many really good Crayfish or Southern Rock Lobster as some call them.
Then back around to the left, was where we wood swim, in the Blue Hole, but rather hard to get to now.
When hamer was premier, he was responsible for pushing 11 Huts over in that area.
Also pushed most likely more than 100 from Nelson to Cann River, not doing any harm, but looking after the environment, which is now it is one hell of a mess.
Great Photos by the way.

But I'm a little jealous of your entry in the bird competition!.
Since being at the new place I haven't seen one sparrow around the place.

Dallas, did you visit the Sequoia (redwoods) plantation near Lavers Hill (Aire Valley), they were planted in 1936 (i think)

l remember camping there with a few mates in easter 1978, and did it rain, but it is a great spot, very tranquil.

Sorry, didn't see them as I didn't know about the plantation.
We went to Laver's Hill and Melba Gully. There used to be a giant Messmate there which was their prize attraction, but it fell over in 2009. I was very disappointed as I had seen it when standing and it was magnificent.

What remains of the giant

I assume these (http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/california-dreaming-the-redwoods-of-the-otway-ranges-20150807-giu01g.html) are the trees you refer to, down near Beech Forrest (https://www.tripadvisor.com.au/Attraction_Review-g2717670-d2716818-Reviews-The_Redwoods-Beech_Forest_Victoria.html)

Not enough!!

Sorry for the late reply, yep thats them - its very serene down there at night, a lot of good walks around there and few trout in the Aire river.
