Not quite what you think.

This is being sent off to the U.S of A, provided it's new owner approves of the, uhh... feature.

See, nice clear picture (big one too!) and I can actually make a reasonably nice looking thing too.

Bloodwood, ebony and brass. As if it needed to be said. ;)

A big hand that carvers got. Do they like them that way in the US of A ?

And, yes, I have a slow modem, thanks very much ! :D But you might as well not warn as much. As soon as you say 'guess what', curiousity will always get the better of me, and I click it anyway. Took a good 2 minutes for that bugger to clear on the screen. And I couldn't just close the window either. If I do that my computer freezes and I have to restart.

It's supposed to be a marking knife. ;)

The blade is a standard exacto sized thing, the whole thing is 183mm long from blade clamp to tail.

Guess I fixed all them whiny folks who don't like my simple pics, huh? ;)

Overcompensating? :) Got yerself a good camera, now: great! except the pic was twice as wide as my screen.

Very nice picture of another very nice tool. Nice board it's sitting on too.

Way to show off the tools.http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/images/icons/icon14.gif

That's a great looking tool. Did you knurl the ferrule and turn the brass ring yourself, or buy them as is? If you did, what lathe do you use.

Keep the piccies coming.

It's the guts out of an Olfa art knife. Difference between the Olfa and a real exacto is like, well, no comparison. Olfa is better.

Which lathe do I use?

I gotta post pictures. Nobody will believe what I use, nor will they believe what I have turned on it.

Try and take some today, provided you can live with the mess. ;)
