Howdy all,

I have just ordered two sets of french doors with sidelights but have since found out that the frames are going to cost me more than the doors.
I can get a Jarrah double door frame from Bunnings for 244.00. To get a frame with sidelights the price jumps to 600.00-700.00. I can't see how adding a bit of wood to each side can increase the price so much..

I was wondering if its possible to just extend the double door frame to accommadate the side lights instead of getting the full frame??

They are to replace existing aluminium sliding doors.

Thanks in advance

you would be best to knock up your own.....buy the sections, trench the head and sill/threshold,and nail it together!

I agree knock it up yourself, I did, bought a door and sidelights on ebay, knocked up the frame, cost me bugger all.
