I noticed fine wood dust around my timber stash & found something has been eating my Jacaranda :C, but luckily, nothing else. I found these deceased bodies nearby & assume they are the culprits. Can anyone identify what they are?

They have bored holes in the timber & then made cavities just under the surface, leaving the surface unmarked, apart from the holes.

Looks like Powder Post Beetle (Lyctus Brunneus).

That does not look good!

Get some insecticide, mix it strong, and spray everything they might go for: they don't bother softwoods, they don't bother properly seasoned or KD timber, they don't bother heartwood ( though they will bore through it to emerge... they're a sapwood pest of green or partially seasoned hardwood.
