About 6 years ago was bought a 3612 for Xmas. The plan was and still to to use it to build kitchen cabinets and railings plus what ever else I needed it for. The question that need to ask due to the fact I can't remember exactly what I was told at the time. Is there a size limit to the diameter of bits that I can use in a single speed router before things come unstable? A bloke once told me there was and it could cause the bit to chatter and break I belive were his words. I would rather ask here than not then have something go pear shaped on me while trying to do something I shouldn't.

Yes.
A bigger diameter bit means having a slower speed.
