I turned the 300mm platter on the bottom 12months ago and the little bowl yesterday. Both finisted with WOP, both from the same tree!

The platter has been inside in subdued light and sealed from air by the WOP but is well on the way from bright yellow when wet to

the dark chestnut it will finish up. I should seal some and leave it in the dark to see what happens.399787 Phil

The mulberry I have turned tends to be bright yellow when turned green but tends to be more greenish yellow when dried . I have one bowl , probably turned about 5 years ago which still remains the same greenish yellow . It has been kept in very subdued light and was finished with DO . Certainly not the brown color yours has achieved .There may be species variation .

I am tending to like the darker coloured one.

Is the underside of the bowl the same colour as the top?
