I'll be there Bob. I'll charge up my old camera and see if maybe you can fix up the settings as they seem to take two shots on the one click.

Peter.

Peter,
Happy to look at it with you - I assume it is a camera and not a 'phony' thing:D
If you have a manual it might help if you can bring it along.

Bob, It's the real Mccoy.

It's an Olympus U700 digital camera with 7.1 megapixel. Unfortunately I don't have a manual as it's an old handme down camera from when my wife upgraded quite a few years ago. It was working well until 2 years ago when instead of deleting old pictures on the camera itself I deleted them all whilst connected to my PC. Then it lost all its settings, so alass no more photos by me.

Peter.

I just put it in my signature, so now it is on 2,270 posts spread across the forum, and growing every day.

Cheers

Well if you put it in YOUR signature we could nearly double it. That would be a start :2tsup:

Peter a copy of the manual is here

(https://www.manualslib.com/manual/114448/Olympus-U-700.html)Have a look at page 20 for instructions as to how to reset the camera to factory settings. This should be a good starting point. If not, we will have to 'suck it and see' as I am familiar with this camera.
