This job was inspired by a ceramic vase acquired by my wife at an op shop. The original vase is unbranded and bears no marks or signature. I did like the shape and presented me with an opportunity to experiment. The body of the vase is silver ash acquired from John G in Tully. Must admit it is very nice silver ash. The panel is made from maple, sassafras and silver ash, that panel was a very challenging mathematical problem, for me any way, :-) to work out the size of the small pieces. The banding around the body is one of my own builds, I added that because I felt the sides were a bit bland. The body is 150mm diameter and about 200mm high. The body is segmented and hollow.
