Turned this Mulberry bowl yesterday and delighted with the shape, maybe it's personal taste or I've fluked some esoteric ratio, but it draws my eye and feels so nice in the hand.

270mm X 110mm and 9-10mm thick. 100mm dovetail jaws in expansion, only one coat WOP so far. Thanks for looking. Phil.

Very nice Phil, love the grain in the timber about a quarter way in from the edge.

Hi phil , very nice bowl , well done mate !
Personally i don, t mind the foot/ring on the
bottom , if the recess follows the shape of the
bowl , the foot/ring is a stand for the bowl , as
long as it all flows through , I think it looks good:2tsup:

That is a nice shape bowl, and in this case the mounting recess looks like it should be there. Some interesting grain in the Mulberry, you never know what is going to be in a log until you turn away the unwanted bits.

Keep up the good work,

Alan...

Well done, I too think the profile is very nice, personally I agree with Ted, and would re-chuck the bowl and refine the bottom. Still a very nice shape. :2tsup:
