The reason you can't find anything on melamine lacquer is that it is a bit of silly "marketing" BS.

It is just a fancy (and technically incorrect) name for a pre-catalysed nitrocellulose lacquer, commonly used in the furniture industry.

Available in a range of gloss levels from companies like Mirotone.
