I read on this very forum somewhere that Tasmanian Myrtle is a nice alternative to American Cherry. I'm just wondering where around Sydney I could source some? Any ideas?

You could try Boutique Timbers on these forums, or Mathews Timber at St. Marys. IMHO, it's a bit nicer than American Cherry, especially if you get some with a bit of spalting or colour variation.

I have found large amounts of good Myrltle in free second hand wardrobes . What must be $250 to $350 worth with a guess on the nature strip . Or ebay . For $100 maybe . I haven't looked there lately to see what they bring .
