I attended the Triton Demo.at Bunnings Warrawong in May,like other correspondent,at that Demo.someone was enquiring as to what it took to start a a Triton Users Group, but since I have heard nought about it.
The Canberra chapter of this group seems to have a fairly strong membership, and we seem to be missing out on all the goodies that this group is able to obtain (ie Demonstrators..etc)
At the demo.night at Bunnings there seemed to be in excess of three hundred people in attendance,so the formation of a user group would certainly not lack numbers if one was established.
Has anybody heard anything from Triton about this?

WELL SAID BARRY - You are a very astute person. http://ubb.ubeaut.com.au/ubb/biggrin.gif

I think you will find that Triton keep a record (name, and contact info) of all purchasers. At least they used to. I am sure if you contact the distributor for NSW and tell him you wish to form a local group, they will be more than happy to give you the info for people in your area. Then it is up to you to do a mail out or phone around to see if you get enough heads to start your own group.

Hope this helps.

Why rely on Triton to set up the group. Do something for yourself. Then you will see how fast things can become a reality. Most woodies clubs etc. are set up by an enthusiastic few, who share an interest.

Don't sit back and complain about how long it takes, go out and make it happen. With a little application you could easily organize a preliminary meeting within 2 weeks to find out if there is a need for a club, and if so hold your election of office bearers at that meeting.

It really isn't hard to do. If there is a need for this group it will virtually set itself up over night.

Well what are you waiting for? Go on out there and give it a go!

YOU CAN DO IT! http://ubb.ubeaut.com.au/ubb/biggrin.gif

I had to push and push to get Triton to get off the rear ends and do something about forming the Triton Woodworking Group Holmesglen.

Just sort out a decent venue, place, and time, and ask Triton to mail their purchasers. That way they don't give out their list and you don't have to pay for postage and envelopes.

They've also got a startup package with instruction and advice on how to get a group happening.

You'll always have someone in the group who thinks the group is run by triton and others in the group who thinks the group should be run by triton and the group shouldn't do anything without tritons permission.

Start independant using whatever info you can get from Triton and stay independant asking Triton for lecturers and door prizes and give aways.

That way you can be free to ask other manufacturest Bosch and Carbi-Tech to help sponsor also.

All the best.
