I had a scrap piece of laminated timber left over and just kept adding more and more scrap pieces, now I wish I had used it for something more spectacular than just a draw bar handle...... Timbers used - Curly maple, zebrano, vic ash, Karri, camphor laurel, and an unknown green (as in colour) that was used as a spacer in the wood shop. I'm loving the patterns produced from laminations. So I might focus on making more for bigger and more fancier jobs.

I used 10mm stainless threaded rod, which fits the collet chuck, I recessed, then epoxied in 2 x M10 stainless nuts, and turned down a piece of nylon (chopping board material) again another block left over, this time from a job in my boat. The angle will help centre the rod to stop moving around and will fit a multitude of headstock spindles.
