There is a Model C1000 Woodfast Lathe (http://www.woodworkforums.com/f275/woodfast-c1000-series-2-auction-213138) for sale over in Buy & Sell.
I use the related model Model C1000X (with EVS) and I have yet to find a lathe that better meets my needs.
I probably use my lathe more than most and I can vouch for its reliability.
At the price on offer (including a chuck) I can't see anyone going wrong.
An excellent first lathe at that price. 1 hp may be a tad under powered for some demands (like coring) but more than adequate for most things that a beginning turner will want to do. I got by with 1hp for decades with my first lathe.
No connection to seller.
