Australian made Woodfast C1000 Series 2. It has been great to learn on and is in good running order. It has a 1 hp motor and manual speed change. The belt movement for the speed change is very simple and easy - no bending or messing around required.

The C1000 has a heavy-duty cast iron bed so it is very stable for turning heavy and long items. The swing over the bed is 200 mm (turn items up to 400 mm diam. for decent sized bowls) For larger diameters the head can be rotated on the bed. The lathe will turn up to about 900 mm long so useful for spindle turning everything from pens to table legs.

It comes with a spur drive centre, a live centre, knock-out bar and spanner. The wooden shelves and timber under the lathe are not included.

This is an inexpensive but very solid and flexible lathe that would be good for a learner but is also solid and well-made enough for a lifetime of use.

No chuck or tools are included but I would be prepared to negotiate for an additional amount the sale of a Vicmarc 100 chuck and a couple of high quality HSS chisels.

Pick-up only from Brisbane.

It is a great, solid and well-made lathe. It works well. I actually love it, but can't fit two lathes as the shed has shrunk (joking, but it feels like it). The lathe is moving to storage next week so, if you have any interest now is the time to speak up.

Ok, I have arranged that it goes to storage this Thursday. So, if anyone is interested time is of the essence. Otherwise it may just wait until I have a larger shed. This is too solid a lathe to give away.

The lathe has been sold. I will close the auction. And, no, I didn't sell it to one of the cheap offers.
