Close to Gympie in south east Qld, there is going to be a clear fall of an old Hoop Pine plantation probably over 50 years old. A sale has been found for the butt logs but so far, they have not been able to find anyone interested in the tops. that is logs less than 8 inches in diameter. If anyone is interested in any way, they are welcome to contact me and I can give them some more information. Hoop Pine is an excellent timber and can be successfully sawn down to a small diameter.
