View Full Version : Swinging the big doors open again
Simplicity

We're swinging the container doors open once again.
Last time was nice ,possibly slightly cold.
But this time we're in late November so weather will be nice and warm maybe even hot(ya)
We have a large outdoor area.
So plenty of cover.
Bring along your show and tell .
BYO chairs and drinks ...
Have a sausage or two or some of Sally's slices on us and kick back for the afternoon.
Partners and small undesirables tolerated([emoji12])
GTG ,Ballarat ,Victoria our place(Matt & Sally)
Saturday 25 November ,BBQ lunch .
Do mark your diaries and calendars.
And let us know
30 days before Xmas for the pagans out there.
Trying to come up with a theme but drawing blanks.
So , open to all serious ideas, maybe even a virgin sacrifice in the evening ...
Cheers Matt

So I consulted my calendar
420071
It turns out that 25th of November is my one free day during the month. Woohoo! So I guess I'll stop by again, it was a good day out last year, or was that earlier this year sometime? I forget, but I do remember enjoying the day.
Cya there

For those that have swags, self sufficient for cooking and with a friendly dog, is there a chance of staying overnight or even arriving the night before?

Sure not a problem DJ
We can cook so no need to worry about that [emoji12]
Your friendly dog is welcome tho there is an ageing jack Russell on the property who can be a little protective so deepened s on your dog temperament.

The big day is fast approaching.
Not seen a lot of intense interest here maybe that's my fault.
Can I have a finale hands up who's coming please.
So we can arrange appropriate catering facilities.
No Bob, don't even go there not happening, and I'm not having anything special flown in from Scotland.
At this stage we are going with BBQ and salads and drinks.
And I'm pretty sure at a later date we will be going with BBQ and salads plus drinks.
O and Sally's home made slices.plus cheese and coffee.
If you haven't put your hand up previously, you are of course welcome to put your hand up.
For those that don't know, we live on a small acreage just out side of Ballarat.
Other half,s and small things welcome of course.
The small things are welcome to play in the abandoned mine shafts or with any of the local wild life.

Quite understandable, but I hear there is a very nice drop being distilled in Tasmania. Haven't tried it yet, but I could be tempted ...:D:D

My apologies Matt,
We would love to attend as we have always enjoyed our visits to your shed in the past. It is always a good day out with good people and fine hospitality and the food is always divine (thanks Sally).
Unfortunately we will not be able to make it this time but we will bethinking of you and looking forward to the reports and pictures.
Have a great day everyone who goes.

Big thanks to everyone who came up for the few hours of beautiful sunshine.
Only betted by some off that glories water that falls from the sky some times.
I had no part in the later.
The company was well worth the effort even if at one stage we all ran for cover inside.
I think I counted around 12/15 in total some forum members some friends.
A few big thanks!
First to my darling wife who does a ton of cooking and always makes sure I'm on my toes and all bases are covered.
A big thanks to Bob for the little bowl he made us and the lemons.
Also to one little fellow called Tommy who's not quite a member here but will be once his reading and writing improve just a little bit.
Who put way all the vintage planes his lazy(DAVE)
Father took out from there place and left on my work bench.
Tommy careful and precisely even the big number 7 Stanley put them back in there right place
what a champion[emoji106][emoji106].
Thanks everyone it's your involvement that make Sally and me put these GTG on
Cheers Matt.

Paul,
Indeed you did, we even had a masculine centre piece for the table during lunch.
Perched on a hand picked piece of virgin olive wood.
In your honour of course well maybe stretching it there just a bit.
But your name was brought up at least once.
Zoom in on one of the pics your keen eye will have it dated type model and two previous owners in seconds.

Aw Matt
Why did you have to go and say that. Centrepiece was a saw! Can it get any better than that? You could at least have taken a pic of the other side to give me a little bit of a clue. A good clue might be the owner, but even if it is who I think, I think my memory is going to let me down (again).
