I am looking for the chassis of a Tormek 2006 (or similar) - that's the 10" wheel model. The chassis of the one I have is rusted out and I am looking to transfer all the otherwise good parts to a decent, rust-free chassis.

Let me know whether you have one, what you want for it - money or a trade. I am willing to look at interstate postage as well.

Hi Derek

You should talk to BobL.
I'm sure he could bend / weld a new chasis for you.

ian.....possibly in stainless this time??

It does look a very simple thing to fabricate, mostly bending plate.

Interesting ideas. I should approach a metal shop nearby. The concern is the accuracy of fit. All the parts for the blade holder and slide would need to be spot on. The other issue is the cost because I mainly use a high speed grinder with a CBN wheel. However the low speed of the Tormek would be better for thin/small blades.
