Can any one tell me what size and type the belt is on a Sherwood MC-1100 lathe. Manual is no help at all.
Thanks

If the belt is broken, take it to a hardware store or motor repair shop and ask for "one of these". If it is a flat Poly V - belt, you may have to order from a seller of Sherwood lathes.

Thanks Paul but I was just after the size to be able to buy a spare to have in case it broke on me.

Are you able to post any photos of the belt and pulleys?
Are there any markings on the original belt?
Looking at a generic parts list for an MC1100 lathe it says the belt is a 625 but they come in various widths so need to know the width even if the length is right.
