View Full Version : Good carbide end mill source?

I had some spring steel recently (HRC up to 63 according to wikipedia) and it ate my HSS cutters - 3 in fact.

So I was thinking I'd buy a carbide end mill set to cut harder materials. Anyone have a good source, like on ebay for a set? I found a few single ones but they stated they'd cut up to HRC 45 which seems too low, e.g. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/12mm-dia...8AAOSw0GJZpNh- (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/12mm-diam-shank-30mm-spiral-4-flute-carbide-TiAIN-slot-end-mill-tool-bit-cutter/222581666818?hash=item33d2e6b402:g:n98AAOSw0GJZpNh-)

Are these any good? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5Pcs-Tun...AAAOSwvYZZmqs5 (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5Pcs-Tungsten-Carbide-Straight-Shank-4-Flutes-End-Mill-Set-CNC-tool-2-4-6-8-10mm/202029002778?hash=item2f09ddf01a:g:AGAAAOSwvYZZmqs5)

Cheers
