Hi All,
In the process of making a circular platter/cutting board for presenting cakes at functions etc.
The dimensions a circa 350mm diameter x 40mm thick and made out of camphor. I have had this drying for a few years, so it should be good.
It is designed for a 300mm cake with a selvage around the cake.
The question is, how can I decorate the wall of the platter?
I especially like a balled effect (I am sure that is the wrong term for it.) Effectively it is 1/2 spheres around the perimeter of the platter.
Apart from hand carving, is there a way this can be done with a router/drillpress? Open to suggestions. :D
