Hello: I use and love EEE and Shellawax Cream on bowls I make. I like to peel oranges and tangerines and put the wedges in a bowl. I've noticed that the citrus juice from the wedges leave blotches on the Shellawax treated surface. Is anyone aware of another U-Beaut product that won't leave blotches? Is it wise to put another finish on top of the Shellawax Cream?

Thanks,

Citric acid is pretty powerful stuff, it will eat holes in stainless steel! Phil.

Yup it can be a bit hectic https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_oil But I would imagine not very may if any finishes will stand up to citrus oil, maybe fibre glass resin

Possibly ubeaut Hard Shellac will do the job. It's similar to melamine. Do a test.

As to covering Shellawax best email the manufacturer.
