Went to son#1's high school to help him take some photos for a project he's working on, and noticed this monster attached to the woodwork shop. Must've got it second hand from a boeing factory?

Wow that should do the job - careful no kids get sucked in :p

Anyone with a 1hp wouldn't suck the skin off a custard dust collector like mine that wants to upgrade it with a cyclone have a look at Neil's home page - some good stuff there. http://dai-sensei.com/ see workshop/dust collection.

Cheers

Yep that is like the one at the Wood hobbie shop in Geramny, but it when into a full dumpster not just a bin :) That is what you need for a full shop and 4 floor pickups :)

You would think you would use something a little larger then a wheelie bin!

Now that would give the neighbours something to moan about.
Had to say moan, it wouldn't let me say *****.

Well spotted. When I did woodwork myself there in the 70s I don't remember any dust collection. But then I can only remember the teacher using a buzzer: we kids weren't allowed on the machinery.
