Gents,
Cheap chinese Submersible pump supplier with my Router has worked fine so far, but recently, I had an occasion where the pump relay has turned on , the water line was kinked, and there was not any cooling water flow to my 1.5kW spindle.
I has visions of cooking my spindle, so I went looking for a suitable ( cheap ) flow indicator.

Most were very heavy, had strange fittings which were hard to adapt ( for PC cooling ) or were crazy expensive ( $25 + $53 postage EACH through Ebay! )

I eventually settled on one of these. I ordered 2 different sized 1/4 BSP to barb adapters as I didn't which would fit. Turns out I needed both as I have different tubing on my Router.
I was looking to just have it hanging in the breeze ....but its too heavy, so I carefully drilled and tapped M3 threads in the corners and mounted it to
a piece of scrap Ali plate.
Bottom water line is a bit distorted, so I may revisit that, but overall, its a corker.

Wouldn't you know it....I've just discovered a problem with my pump.
'Sometimes' it won't start when submerged.......
I pulled it down to see if anything was worn or clogging it...nothing.
I'm off to buy a new pump.
