Hi All,

Long time no see! Its been a few years since I've posted here. Life got in the way of boat building for a while, but I'm back on the (saw) horse :D

Here are some photos from my CLC Chesapeake 16 kayak build - The first hull panels were scarfed in Dec 2008! I've just finished fibreglassing the deck and clamping up the coaming ring.. not long now until I can get her on the water!

A long time ago.. scarfing the first hull panels...

Then cut the hull panels.

I love the way the shape comes together as you stitch.

Once flipped and trued, the interior is glassed which locks in the hull shape. Here's the finished hull.

This is where the boat got hoisted in the ceiling of the shed for a few years. Renovating, a baby, and my PDR all came next.

But now... progress!

And clamps! I thought I had enough, then added about 6 more.

So this is where I'm at. Still to go is the hatch stiffeners, end-pours, and the endless sahara of sanding.

Welcome back and back to it, looking good. Carl does a nice job of getting these puppies to go together nicely, doesn't he?
