PTC - These are good - I see great improvements everytime you post pics of your latest work. I like the Sea Creature theme you've got going.

ptc ..... the old question ..... what blade are you using?

I have tried to order the blade recommended in the bandsaw book but the supplier told me that they were too fine and they could only supply 1/4". The bandsaw book said that the 1/4" was too rough.

If I need a new blade I may as well get the right one.

When I make my boxes, I use 1/8 " blade for the curves and a 3/4" blade for all the stright cuts. I first tryed 1/4" but couldn't make a lot of the turns.I just orded a new 1/8" with 14tpi from Grizzly. I had a box 1/2 done when the blade got dull,Thank you all..

The blade i'm using is 3/16 10 tpi.
recommended by Henry Bros I bought 2 for $30.
Still using the first one.
I'm still learning, tecnique appears to the secret.
I get a bit windy when the fingers get close to the Blade.

PTC,

Looks great. I have completed 2 (can not get the pictures down to 100kb to post) and have jus had to make a design change to the third one because i cut one of the wings containing the third draw off. How do you stop the blade from flexing so much? I too use a 3/16 10tpi. I am thinking that i do not have the tension right.

anyone know how to reduce the size of a picture that has been compressed to 1%?????

p.t.c.
I use 4mm x 6tpi for the tight cutting and 13mm X 4tpi for the big stuff. I also imported some nylon flock ( say it carefully) from www.donjer.com (http://www.donjer.com/) in the states to finish inside the drawers.
