I went o purchase a piece of 150mm dia 30 to 50 mm thick plate today and it appears the only way is to buy a full plate as no one has any stock .
Brisbane or Sydney seem to have offcuts available , other places dont seem to go past 16 mm .
Not all engineering companies want to sell offcuts at reasonable prices either ,$30 for a piece of 100mm square 16 mm plate , its still there on the floor .
Has anyone else encountered this sort of attitude, usually from businesses that are crying about no work etc,
